Action: Help us collect warm clothes for Lebanon!

In the near future we will be loading containers for Lebanon,
that we can unload a large amount of warmth in Beirut before Christmas.
The need is great for the nearly 1 million people who have fled the war in their own country. Many of them left their homes in a hurry and had little time to bring enough warm clothes with them. So the need for warm items is great.
What is the need?
- Winter clothing for children, women and men.
- Hygiene products. Think: shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary towels and incontinence products (no liquids).
- Blankets / quilts
- Toys, such as footballs or drawing materials (no breakable items or war toys)
- For children, there is a flyer on how to fill a (shoe) 'box of warmth' for a refugee child. DOWNLOAD FLYER
All materials and items must be clean, undamaged and dry or new.
Loading
The aim is to load and ship the container on the 13th of December so that all the items can be distributed by our local volunteers this Christmas. We will let you know the exact loading date at a later time. Extra hands are always welcome to help with the loading.
In addition to this container, we will be loading a second container containing medical supplies only. This material has been collected by us over the past month and could possibly be loaded and shipped within 2 weeks.
