Working visit Lebanon

Due to the recently updated travel advice
and Transavia's decision 
to resume flights to Beirut, Bart will visit the three school projects in Bauchrieh, Hadat and Batroun for 14 days to carry out preparatory work for future activities. In addition, three VVL board members (Charles, Bert and Jeannet) will travel to Lebanon next Monday for a 7-day working visit.
Purpose of this trip
The visit has several objectives, including visiting all current and potential new projects, strengthening our contacts there and, where necessary, rolling up their sleeves and getting involved themselves.
They will also discuss with local authorities the possibility of shipping another sea container in the near future. They will also investigate which relief supplies are currently most needed, so that we know what items to collect in the coming period once they return to the Netherlands.
Finally, later in the week, they will visit a number of beautiful places in the north of the country that we can add to our walking and cultural tour.
As soon as travel advice allows us to organise a group trip to this area, we will of course inform you via this channel.
