Progress of the aid container to Beirut

The ship with our container full of warm clothes,  

finally arrived in the port of Beirut on 20 January after a long journey. 

On Tuesday 28 January, the container was unloaded onto the quay. 
On Friday, 31 January, Georges was finally able to make the first part payment for customs clearance. 
Now, we're waiting for the Ministry of Finance to sign off on a financial document. 
Ideally, the customs clearance would have been quicker, so we could start giving out the warm clothes before the weekend.

Unfortunately, there's still no update from Beirut.
The container with all the clothes has been in the port for the past two weeks.
Fingers crossed for a quick customs clearance.
Hopefully, we'll have better news in our next update.

The items are desperately needed by many people.
