Providing help to those who need it, that is one of our goals.
The story of the homeless Johnny is quite poignant. By chance we meet him in Beirut city at a striking point near the harbor.
When Johnny tells his story, it is about a small 2 room flat where he previously lived with his only brother. But when he marries and has children, there is no more room for him and he ends up on the street.
He doesn't have a real job. He did, with several bosses, but that never goes well for long because he regularly faints. This is, as he describes it himself, due to an electrical short circuit in his head.
We suspect that he means epileptic seizures, but we are not sure. What is clear is that he is homeless and can barely make a living.
Every now and then he helps in the harbor with the unloading of fishing boats, but there is hardly any opportunity in the winter either. We agree with him to come back later that day and then bring a bag with clothes, a number of socks, pants and a jacket. But also a Sheltersuit, so that he can at least sleep warm and protected. In addition, we offer him something to eat.
With a modest smile, he accepts everything with thanks. We agree to visit him there every few weeks, hoping to be able to do something more for him.
Thank you Sheltersuit Foundation for your support!
For example, we help the elderly in need, try to provide children in orphanages with things. Many materials have also been brought to nursing homes for mental health care.
We provide complete ICT programs in schools to be able to give computer lessons to as many children as possible. We do all this with your support!
That help is desperately needed, every day and with that we try to offer the maximum to those who need it most.
