Three months on the road. The container has arrived in Lebanon.

The relief supplies have arrived! Thanks to your support, we can help people in Lebanon who desperately need our help.
It has taken longer than ever. Our auxiliary container took almost three months, from loading in Deventer to unloading in Beirut. But the good news is there: all collected relief goods have arrived safely!
A long journey, with a worthwhile destination
Behind the scenes, a lot of hard work has been done to get the container free and to deliver the goods to their destination. Our contact person Georges has made a huge effort to arrange all the necessary customs formalities. Thanks to his good preparation, the relief goods could be unloaded immediately after departure from the port. Within one hour the container was empty!
Then all goods are checked and sorted, so that they end up with the right organizations and people.
Help that really makes a difference
A special moment was the reception by the Sisters of the Cross, attached to a psychiatric clinic in Lebanon. They were pleasantly surprised by the amount of help they received.
In this case, these included:
- More than 80 mattresses, for people who depend on good care and a comfortable place to sleep.
- More than 650 packs of incontinence products, indispensable for daily care.
- Patient lifts and shower chairs, which help to make patient care safer and easier.
For us, these are goods that we collect and transport with care. For the people who receive them, they mean not only practical help, more comfort and support in everyday life, but also hope.
