Deventer, 24 july 2026
It is 7.30 am when we arrive at Veldhoen in Deventer. The place where all the stuff we have collected in seven months for 6 different projects in Lebanon is located.
Preparation started with a visit to all these projects in November 2025. The moment the Dutch embassy changed the color code of the travel advice from red to orange, we took our chance and 3 of our board members got on the plane. The projects for which we have collected relief supplies on the basis of that trip include three schools, an orphanage, a psychiatric clinic and a village in the south of the country. The report of our visit to these projects can be read elsewhere on this website.

This time it took seven months to fill a 40 ft. Sea container (High Cube) with usable materials on the one hand and to receive enough money to pay for the transport costs on the other. That means being and staying visible to all our donors and a lot of trips to all corners of the country, stuff in the trailer, the trunk and the back seat.
Of course, that visibility starts with our website that remains up-to-date, with good honest information and that is interesting enough to keep visiting, so that it invites you as a reader to also contribute.
And they succeeded. On behalf of all projects in Lebanon, we therefore say to you: thank you very much for your support. Together we make this possible. We can only achieve such an action together, because with only a beautiful website and lugging stuff we will not get a toothbrush in Lebanon.
